From where does one find the source of his or her creativity? Where does it start and how is it realised? These are questions that intrigue us – the answers to which can be elusive – and most likely infinite. The Source is the name of a new project directed by multi-media artist, Doug Aitken, which contemplates where creativity comes from. The film series sees Aitken in talks with notable figures from across the creative spectrum – from musicians, to actors, to architects, all of whom ponder the source of their creative output. The series is currently showing at the Tate Modern.
