When the Fred Perry signature logo appears on their classic polo shirt, it makes for a wardrobe staple that can truly be called both classic and iconic. But with sixty years of global success behind them this is a label unafraid of change and creative input from good friends – especially when a worthy cause is in need.
To mark their 6oth anniversary, Fred Perry have enlisted sixty of the world’s finest to customise a wreath-emblazoned shirt to be auctioned off for the Amy Winehouse Trust. Participating artists include Raf Simons, Neville Brody, Damon Albarn and The Specials – alongside our very own Karen Walker.
The first selection of shirts will be displayed in collaboration with Dover Street Market from January 26, with the auction planned for later this year. We were lucky enough to be given a preview of the Walker work which brings to life her own personal celebration of this Fred Perry milestone.
