In 1958, artist and designer Barbara Sansoni created a textile design company in Sri Lanka. The premise was simple – to provide work for young women in the community who had limited schooling and skills. Today it’s a premiere textile design company employing dedicated weavers and needlewomen. These women work without the time constraints of mass production, and are able to produce premium quality workmanship in a truly sustainable way.

One of the most special things they produce are toys. Bright, colourful, characterful toys, handmade from 100% cotton and filled with Kapok tree fibre. Designed to stimulate the senses and excite the imagination. The vivid colours are obtained from natural vegetable dyes, and because they’re each made by hand, they’re each unique.

They’re made with love and care and we think they’re really cool – and we’re grown ups! Babies go even wilder for them!
